Youth & Kids Programs

Youth and children's programs are available for kids from preschool to grade 12. Each program is available for a single day, or for the full weekend. You can view pricing for each program here.

We no longer offer a supervised nursery program, but there will be a nursery room available for parents to use. If a program option does not show up on the registration form, it is full. Please contact Michelle Kapelle to be placed on a waiting list.

CHEC does not have Special Education assistants for these programs. Children with special needs or behavioral issues will be required to have an adult/older sibling attend with them.

Okanagan Youth CHEC Service Opportunity

True to the spirit of homeschooling, we are raising up leaders!

This year the youth volunteers, (grades 7-12), will be more involved with the planning and operations of the children’s program. Youth will be leading children’s groups and will be actively involved in the workshops/stations on both CHEC days. Youth will receive school credit and a reference letter for their portfolio/resume for volunteering in the CHEC Children’s Program. Email Michelle Kapelle if you have a youth in grades 7-12 who would be interested in volunteering in the program and she will respond with an email outlining the details of this CHEC Service Opportunity. This is a wonderful way to get volunteer hours completed for the Grad program and the youth will learn many skills!

The 2018 CHEC Children’s Program theme is Salt & Light based on the beatitudes in Matthew 5:1-16 and with an emphasis on the Fruit of the Spirit in Galatians 5:22-23.

Join us this year as we embark on an exciting new format for the children’s program!

Your children will actively participate in a combination of hands-on activities including biblical teaching, music, fitness related games, Maker Ed, Make-n-Take, and team building activities. A forty-five (45) minute interactive praise and worship session featuring skits and our very own youth worship team will kick-off each morning of our two-day program. Children in Grades 1–6 will move through a variety of five (5) workshop-style sessions each designed to emphasize how children can demonstrate Salt & Light in their attitudes and behaviour both at CHEC and in their lives. Grades 1–6 registration on CHEC days is at the Welcome Table near the Big Top Tent.

On their first day of attendance, each child in grades 1-6/7 will receive a CHEC 2018 Salt & Light Team T-Shirt to keep as a souvenir. They are required to wear their shirt during the program on both days.
